The ZWO 2″ UV IR CUT filter is an indispensable tool for serious astrophotographers. By selectively blocking ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) light, which can cause image blurring and star bloating, this filter allows only the visible light spectrum to pass through. This results in notably sharper and more detailed images, particularly when using refractors and other optical systems that are not corrected for IR and UV. Additionally, it protects sensitive camera sensors and expensive H-alpha solar filters from thermal damage caused by infrared radiation.
