PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The ZWO ASI662MC is a compact planetary, lunar, and solar color CMOS camera designed for high-speed, high-detail capture of bright solar system objects. Featuring the Sony IMX662 STARVIS 2 sensor, it delivers enhanced near-infrared (NIR) sensitivity with zero amp glow and a remarkable 91 % peak quantum efficiency.
Its 2.9 µm pixels and 2.07 MP resolution provide excellent resolution for planetary features like storm bands and lunar craters. The camera achieves frame rates over 100 FPS at full resolution via USB 3.0, and the bus-powered operation simplifies mobile rigs with fewer cables and no external power needs.
Whether you’re imaging Jupiter’s belts or the Sun’s surface (with filters), the ASI662MC delivers fast, noise-controlled, and contrast-rich results for entry-level and advanced imagers alike.
