The ZWO ASI585MC is an uncooled one-shot color camera using the Sony IMX585 STARVIS 2 sensor, offering enhanced near-infrared sensitivity and a zero amp glow design for superior image quality in high-frame-rate planetary, lunar, and solar imaging.
Its 2.9 µm pixels, 40 ke- full well, and 8.29 MP 4K resolution are perfectly balanced for capturing high dynamic range scenes across a wide range of short-to-mid focal length scopes. Operating at frame rates close to 47 FPS at full resolution in 12-bit mode, this camera is ideal for fast imaging of bright targets where seeing and contrast matter most.
The ASI585MC is fully bus-powered via USB 3.0 and includes a 256 MB DDR3 cache buffer for stable high-speed performance without dropped frames—making it a robust choice for imaging without the complexity of cooling systems.
