The ZWO ASI533MC Pro is a cooled one-shot color (OSC) astronomy camera built for deep-sky enthusiasts who want high resolution, rich color, and clean imaging with minimal fuss. Its Sony IMX533 back-illuminated CMOS sensor offers a square 1-inch format with superb sensitivity and zero amp glow, making it an excellent choice whether you’re capturing galaxies, nebulae, or planetary detail.
- 9 megapixels (3008×3008) with 3.76 µm pixels for fine detail and excellent dynamic range.
- Two-stage TEC cooling capable of about −35 °C below ambient to reduce thermal noise.
- Ultra-low read noise (approx. 1.0-3.8 e-) and high quantum efficiency (~80%) for improved faint-object imaging.
- Zero amp glow – clean long exposures without the troublesome glow effects in corners.
- Compact, robust body: 78mm diameter, approx. 470 g weight; durable red anodized aluminum.
