The ZWO ASI533MC Pro USB3 Cooled Color Camera is a cooled one-shot color astronomy camera designed for deep-sky astrophotography. It features the Sony IMX533 back-illuminated CMOS sensor with a square 1-inch format, 9-megapixel resolution, and 3.76 μm pixels. Its square sensor is well suited to capturing galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, and other deep-sky targets with detailed color and a wide field of view.

The ASI533MC Pro offers a peak quantum efficiency of over 80% and a full-well capacity of 50ke-, helping it capture faint astronomical objects while retaining a useful dynamic range. The camera also uses zero amp glow technology, which helps produce cleaner images during long-exposure astrophotography.

Its two-stage TEC cooling system can cool the sensor approximately 30–35°C below ambient temperature under suitable conditions. This helps reduce thermal noise and daDrk current during longer exposures. The camera supports exposure times from 32 μs to 2000 seconds, giving astrophotographers flexibility for different imaging targets.
