The ZWO ASI482MC is a high-sensitivity, uncooled color CMOS camera built around the back-illuminated Sony IMX482 sensor. With its 2.07 MP resolution, fast full-frame 82.5 FPS capture rate, and impressively high 85 % quantum efficiency, it's tailor-made for high-speed planetary, lunar, and solar imaging (with proper filters). The large 5.8 µm pixels and 51.5 ke- full-well capacity provide deep photon collection per pixel—ideal for low-light targets and extended dynamic range.

It features an intelligent HCG mode that activates automatically at gain 80, reducing read noise (as low as 1.5 e-) while preserving its full 12-stop dynamic range. A robust USB 3.0 interface ensures fluid high-frame transmission, while the ST-4 guide port enables seamless guiding integration, making the ASI482MC a versatile performer for both imaging and autoguiding roles—especially in off-axis configurations.
