The ZWO ASI294MM-Pro cooled monochrome camera is built for serious Astro photographers seeking maximum sensitivity, dynamic range, and clean imaging. Leveraging the Sony IMX492 back-illuminated 4/3″ CMOS sensor, its large full well capacity and low read noise allow for exceptional deep-sky performance. With dual-stage TEC cooling down to about 35-40 °C below ambient, this camera excels at long exposures under dark skies.
- 11.7 megapixels (4144×2822) in Bin2 mode with 4.63 µm pixels; supports "Unlocked Bin1" for 47 MP effective resolution.
- Full well capacity ~66 ke⁻, ideal for capturing bright stars and faint nebulosity without clipping.
- Peak quantum efficiency ≈ 90 % due to back-illuminated sensor architecture.
