Some telescopes are good. Some are great. The CGX-L Equatorial 1400 Edge HD is in a class of its own.

This is the largest telescope in Celestron's entire EdgeHD lineup. It puts a 14-inch flat-field optical tube on the powerful CGX-L equatorial mount. You get the maximum aperture, the maximum light, and the maximum detail — all in one complete system.

Sky Deep delivers the CGX-L Equatorial 1400 Edge HD to you as Pakistan's only authorized Celestron dealer. You buy original. You get full warranty. You get expert support from day one.

What Makes the CGX-L Equatorial 1400 Edge HD Exceptional?

14-Inch EdgeHD Optics — The Largest in the Lineup

The CGX-L Equatorial 1400 Edge HD carries Celestron's biggest EdgeHD optical tube. The aperture is 355.6mm — that is a full 14 inches of light-gathering power.

This aperture collects 2,580 times more light than your naked eye. It gathers 1.6 times more light than the 11-inch EdgeHD. You reach deeper into the universe with every image and every observation.

The EdgeHD optical system removes coma, spherical aberration, and field curvature completely. A zero-power corrector plate, spherical primary mirror, secondary mirror, and field-flattening lenses all work together. The result is a perfectly flat focal plane from corner to corner — even on the largest modern imaging sensors.

Stars look like sharp points at every part of your image. No blurring at the edges. No distortion anywhere. This is what astrograph-quality truly means.

The focal length is 3910mm at f/11. You also get Fastar compatibility. Remove the secondary mirror and add the Fastar accessory. You drop to an ultra-fast f/2. You photograph large, faint deep-sky objects with very short exposures. This flexibility makes the CGX-L Equatorial 1400 Edge HD incredibly versatile.

StarBright XLT Coatings — Every Photon Counts

Every optical surface in the CGX-L Equatorial 1400 Edge HD uses Celestron's StarBright XLT multi-layer coatings. The primary mirror, secondary mirror, and corrector plate are all coated.

These coatings maximize light transmission across the full visual and photographic spectrum. You lose less light in the optical path. Your images come out brighter. Your camera sensor captures more detail in every single frame.

Mirror Clutches and Tube Vents — Precision in Every Detail

The 14-inch tube has mirror clutches built in. These hold the primary mirror firmly in place during imaging. Mirror shift — a common problem in large SCTs — does not happen here. Your focus stays locked and your images stay sharp.

Tube vents sit at the back of the optical tube. Hot air escapes from behind the primary mirror. Thermal distortion disappears faster. You reach focus quickly and your images stabilize sooner after setup.

CGX-L Mount — Carries Everything You Need

The CGX-L Equatorial 1400 Edge HD comes with Celestron's CGX-L computerized equatorial mount. This mount carries up to 75 pounds of payload. The 14-inch OTA alone weighs around 50 pounds — the CGX-L handles it with room to spare for your full imaging kit.

The mount uses 144mm diameter worm wheels. These large precision gears give you smooth, accurate tracking under heavy loads. The belt drive removes all backlash. Your images stay sharp through long exposures.

All internal cables route inside the mount body. Power ports and accessory ports stay stationary while the mount slews. Your cables never snag or pull during a remote imaging session.

Built-in physical and optical hard stops protect your telescope automatically. The counterweight shaft cannot strike the tripod leg — no matter what. Home sensors let you start every session from the index position — even if the mount was powered off mid-slew.

The NexStar+ hand controller comes with Celestron's PWI telescope control software. This software was developed with PlaneWave Instruments. It features multi-point mount modeling for precise GoTo pointing across your entire sky.

CGX-L Equatorial 1400 Edge HD for Astrophotography in Pakistan

The CGX-L Equatorial 1400 Edge HD transforms what Pakistani astrophotographers can achieve.

The 14-inch aperture collects massive amounts of light. You pull incredibly faint objects out of even light-polluted urban skies. The flat EdgeHD field gives you clean, sharp data from corner to corner — exactly what you need when shooting with full-frame sensors.

Pair this telescope with a ZWO cooled monochrome camera from our CMOS Cooled Monochrome Cameras collection. Add narrowband filters to cut through Lahore or Karachi light pollution. You capture stunning emission nebulae and galaxy details that most telescopes simply cannot reach.

For the most accurate tracking with this heavy setup, add a dedicated guide scope and autoguider from our Guiding Cameras collection. The CGX-L autoguider port on the DEC axis keeps all your cables organized and connected.

Complete your imaging train with LRGB Filter Sets and Camera Accessories from Sky Deep. We stock everything you need to build around this telescope.

How Does the 1400 Compare to the 1100?

Both telescopes use the same CGX-L mount and the same EdgeHD optical design. Here is the simple difference.

The CGX-L Equatorial 1400 Edge HD gives you 14 inches of aperture versus 11 inches on the 1100. That is 1.6 times more light gathering power. You photograph fainter objects. You see more detail in every image. The focal length jumps from 2800mm to 3910mm — you get higher magnification and a deeper reach into the universe.

If you want maximum aperture and do not compromise — the 1400 is your telescope. If you want a slightly lighter and more portable setup, explore the CGX-L Equatorial 1100 Edge HD.
