Optolong 7-Filter Set LRGB, H-Alpha, SII & OIII — Available in Pakistan

Introduction - Take Over the Universe Like Never Before.

Astrophotography is no longer a pastime of those who have access to the best observatories in the world. The right equipment can mean that any stargazer in Pakistan can make a spectacular image of a nebula, a galaxy, or a deep-sky object in the backyard. Optolong 1.25" Filter Set with LRGB, H-Alpha, SII, and OIII Filters is one of the most comprehensive, powerful filter sets that you will ever need as an astrophotographer - and now in Pakistan, through Sky Deep Co, the official dealer of ZWO and Celestron in the country, and the only dealer to offer a Local Supplier Importer warranty on your purchase.

You may be new to the field of narrowband imaging, or you might be an experienced astronomer who has been wanting to replace the filters in their arsenal - this 7-piece Optolong set has it all in one, well-designed package.

What Is the Optolong 1.25" LRGB + SHO Filter Set?

This filter set has 7 optical filters, which are precision-crafted in standard 1.25" cells, and are intended to be used with monochrome CCD and CMOS cameras. It features both a set of broadband LRGB filters to see natural color images and a set of narrowband SHO filters (H-Alpha, SII, OIII) to see nebula details - an imaging system that is complete and covers pretty much any deep-sky object.

This set of Optolong filters is all fabricated using Schott glass, which has been multi-coated using an ion-assisted deposition technology so as to guarantee scratch stability and resistance on the central wavelength (CWL). The filter cells are CNC machined, sand-blasted, black anodized, and laser engraved - making them super thin filter cells with a clear aperture of 26mm. High Point Scientific

The LRGB Filter Set -True Color Deep-Sky Imaging.

The Optolong LRGB filter set has been created with the highest possible contrast with very high gradients to give clear differentiation of colors. It separates the spectrum into its constituents, red, green, blue, and luminance. The emission of OIII is on the blue and green filters with maximum transmission, which is highly efficient and provides natural color imaging. The primary light pollution line at 589nm from sodium is blocked out by a designed gap between the red and green filters to enhance color separation and enhancement of color balance. Astronomics

This renders the LRGB set ideal in capturing galaxies, star clusters, and planetary nebulae in their natural colors, which are true to life. The Luminance filter captures the maximum light and detail, and the RGB channels are integrated to create a scientifically accurate, yet visually stunning, full color image.

H-Alpha 7nm Filter - King of Narrowband Imaging.

The Optolong H-Alpha 7nm is a very narrow emission-line filter, permitting a 7nm wide band of light on the 656nm wavelength, and rejecting contrast-killing wavelengths of light pollution. High Point Scientific

This filter is best used when the emission nebulae are being imaged, such as the Orion Nebula and the Eagle Nebula. It is extremely effective even in the presence of intense light pollution or full moon nights, and thus a game-changer to Pakistani astrophotographers who have to work with urban skies.

SII 6.5nm Filter - Sulfur Nebulosity Detail.

Sulfur, which is among all the glowing gases of emission nebulae, emits red light in the wavelength of 672nm. This wavelength is the central wavelength of the Optolong SII filter, and it has a narrow band at 6.5nm. Intrusive light caused by the street lamps, surrounding houses, and even the Moon is of little concern with such a thin bandwidth. High Point Scientific

The SII filter is an essential part of the Hubble Palette (SHO) imaging and it brings out fine structural details in the regions of emission that would not be seen at all with the standard broadband filters.

 OIII 6.5nm Filter - Blue-Green Nebula Emission.

With the OIII filter, 6.5nm of light can pass through, but at the center of the light, at 500nm, which is the OIII emission lines. OIII has wavelengths of 495.9nm and 500.7nm, giving it a blue-green colour. Most of the images of planetary nebulae and supernova remnants are made with both H-Alpha and OIII filters and still present many structural details that appear natural in their colors. David Astro

The Hubble Palette - Pillars of Creation in Your Backyard.

Among the most interesting possibilities that this filter set can open is the well-known Hubble Palette or SHO imaging method. Combined with OIII and SII filters - such as in the popular Pillars of Creation (M16 Eagle Nebula) - you can now carry your own Hubble view to your backyard. The moon is up and in heavy light pollution, allowing you to do the SHO combination and have your equipment utilized instead of dusting off. Astronomics

This renders the Optolong LRGB + SHO set one of the most varied astrophotography tools on the market - the capability of natural color of LRGB and the dramatic and artistic potential of narrowband SHO imaging.

Reasons to buy Sky Deep Co Pakistan?

Sky Deep Co is a retailer of astronomical equipment in Pakistan and the exclusive authorized dealer of ZWO and Celestron, two of the most reputable brands in the world of astronomical equipment. By buying the Optolong 1.25" Filter Set of Sky Deep Co, you get to enjoy:

Warranty Sky Deep Co is the first company to provide a decent local warranty on astronomy products in Pakistan. No longer to worry about international returns or grey market purchases.

Authorized ZWO and Celestron Dealer- Authentic products, checked and obtained via official means.

Professional Advice — The professionals of Sky Deep Co are well-versed in the art of astrophotography and can advise you on the perfect combination of this filter set and the appropriate ZWO camera or Celestron telescope.

After-Sales Support - Sky Deep Co provides after-sales support on its products, whether it is instructions on setting up the product or tips on how to take photos.

Whom is this Filter Addressing?

This filter bank is suitable for:

Users of monochrome CCD or CMOS cameras (ZWO ASI series), Astrophotographers.

Those who desire to move beyond single-filter narrowband to full LRGB + SHO workflows.

Light-polluted Pakistani cities in which astronomers wish to image, regardless of the sky conditions.

Anyone wishing to make Hubble Palette images using their own telescope.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1: Can this filter be used with ZWO cameras?

The Optolong 1.25" filter set is indeed compatible with ZWO ASI monochrome cameras, which can also be found at Sky Deep Co. The 1.25" cell can be attached to typical filter wheels and filter drawers applied to ZWO imaging applications.

Q2: Does it work with these filters in skies with high levels of light pollution in Pakistan?

Absolutely. The narrowband filters H-Alpha, SII, and OIII have been specially optimized to reject light pollution wavelengths, and are therefore very effective even in cities such as Karachi, Lahore, or Islamabad, where the sky conditions are difficult.

Q3: What is the warranty Sky Deep Co gives on this product?

Sky Deep Co can offer warranty on all its products sold and is therefore the only company in Pakistan that can offer true local warranty coverage on astronomy equipment. You will be able to buy without any doubts.

Q4: Do I have to purchase all the 7 filters or can I begin with the narrowband ones?

The SHO narrowband filters (H-Alpha, SII, OIII) will be sufficient to begin with, in case you are interested in emission nebulae. But with the entire 7-filter LRGB + SHO collection, there is much more variety available to you - you can capture galaxies, star clusters, and nebulae both in natural color and Hubble Palette modes.

Q5: Can these filters be used with Celestron telescopes?

Yes. The universal 1.25" format is designed to fit into the focuser of most Celestron telescopes sold at Sky Deep Co. No matter which model you have (NexStar, EdgeHD, or any other Celestron), these filters will thread directly into your regular eyepiece or filter.
